Karasuba-Iro Large Rice Bowl, 15.7cm

The karasuba-iro large rice bowl is just right for a serving of oyakodon – a traditional Japanese breakfast dish of chicken simmered in a sweet dashi stock with egg, served over rice. It’s also ideal for comforting bowls of soup.

"Karasuba-iro" means glossy black in Japanese, and this glazed ceramic rice bowl has a beautiful glossy black and grey speckled surface. Additional red-brown detailing and white sweeps add to the elegance of the design.
